Campbell Soup Kids! AVAILABLE Vintage 60's maybe dolls in ok condition, a little dirty and naked! but cute. i am a sucker for advertising stuff. I once wanted to do my kitchen in all old advertising mascots.

A FIRST EDITION with DUSTJACKET in very good condition. " A Hundred Tuftys" by Jean Lilly is a cute story of teddy bears.. really i have not read it. I just want to sell it! EBAY! AVAILABLE

Cute little Squirrel Salt and peppers SOLD

A very creepy Troll Mask. I already sold this one. Someone is going to be a weird Halloween creature. I am glad it has left my house

Working on a cool post about Vintage Barbies. I have hauled my mothers Barbies across the states twice and they are cool. I may sell some of them because they are deteriorating and worth a ton of money maybe.. I don't know. Not as attached to them as I once was. Ill post it soon.

Mixed Bag

I have not had much luck at yard sales lately with the awesome vintage things but here are a few things I liked..
Squirrel Salt and Peppers!! I thought they had the cutest look on their faces!

Poor Pitiful Pearl Doll. SOLD this is a newer version from the 60's maybe. My grandmother had my mothers in the original box and it sat on my shelf through high school.. dang I wish I had that one.
And this is a quilt top.AVAILABLE It was cheap enough to buy, but I have no clue what era it is from. It smells old.. lol. I would guess 30's-50's but I don't know. It needs to be turned into a quilt. It is about the size of a twin bed.

Cookie Cookie Cookie Jars!

SO, I have not been to any intersting sales as of late. Oh, I went out there but nothing has been awesome for weeks. This week, in fact, there were so many people out at yad sales that they were too picked through. Even for me. I usually can find treasures after everyone else has been to a sale. Not the last few weeks.

This week, I am showing off some cookie jars. The first one brings back memories for me. My mother died when I was 4 and one of the few things I do remember is her cookie jar. It looked just like the one below. I received this one as a wedding gift in 2005 when I married the love of my life, Eric.
These were made by a few different makers in the 60's The most sought after is California Potteries, this one was made in Japan but looks exactly the same. The next cookie jar I found a few years later at an estate sale and have not been able to find one like it. I think its a perfect companion to the one above.
The final cookie jar I found two weeks ago at the same yard sale as I found that old Madame Alexander Doll(sold on eBay finally) I bundled a bunch of stuff together and got a deal on the bundle. I want to list this on eBay next but have not found any that are similiar and this one looks more 1970's

I love the little elf, it is almost Keeblerish.. AVAILABLE

I can not resist showing off these adorable elephant teapot Salt and pepper shakers too.. These are going up for sale, because I don't collect them, but if they don't sell, they may go in my cabinet after all.

SOLD
If you see anything here you want let me know.. I can sell direct if you would like, or if you are searching for something specific, I can't promise Ill find it, but I will look!

Hey, Dollface!

This week I found a yard sale where this woman had spent all week pulling boxes out of her basement from the previous owner. I pulled an "American Picker" trick and bundled a bunch of items together and gave her $20! I scored... if I can sell this stuff on eBay that is.. If not I will keep them for a try in the winter.

So, here is a 1958 Madame Alexander "Kathy" Doll in original dress, and with original pacifier. She is in such good shape, I swear if I didn't have the doodlebug with me, I might have found her shoes and socks and bonnet. But as it is, she is probably worth about $60, I have her for sale on eBay for much lower.  Maybe I'll get a bidding war? SOLD
I like finding 70's and 80's dolls too, like this Rainbow Brite and her horse. I sold these already but they were a great find. Older ladies at estate sales overlook 80's dolls thinking they are too new. Shhhhh we know better. SOLD

Then I found this great Tearful, Tender Love Doll from 1972 I think IN A BOX! I find probably one or two old toys in their original box a year, it is rare, usually the dealers who shop estate sales beat me to the good ones. I sold her as well already.  She was in awesome shape and had original accessories SOLD
Everybody loves Raggedy Ann it seems, and since they were created not far from where I live, I think there is an abundance of older dolls here, I find them cheap cheap cheap and make a lot out of them and sell them as a group. These were from the 40's or 50's if I remember correctly. SOLD

If you collect or are trying to find a certain old toy, doll, stuffed animal.. or item let me know. I love to track down items and it gives me something more to look for.

The Awesome, it's Rad!

Here are a few of my more recent finds. I pick things up that interest me, are unusual or i have a feeling they may be worth a few bucks. I guess it's a smaller scale of "American Pickers" but I've been doing this for about 12 years on eBay.
This is a 1979 Rub a Dub Doggie. They were quite popular, you can make him shake the wate off of his head with a knob on his collar. He came with a bone shaped sponge originally.

This is a few salt and pepper shakers I found. I usually spend all summer searching yard sales for cheap pairs (like .25) and then sell them as a lot on eBay. They are fun..oh yeah, i have a pair of Salmon S&P's in the car.. I need to get organised.

This 1971 Charlie Tuna "Sorry Charlie" Scale. SOLD Has already been shipped off to Japan. I found it in a barn sale, on a shelf and behind some rusty crap. It didn't work but I bought it for $1 and sold it for about $40 if I remember correctly. It is super cute...

Awesome Stuff Issue ONE!

Hello, I am Carole, finder of awesome. I find awesome things at yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores.. wherever. I do collect some of it, but I sell the majority of it. To me it is the thrill of finding things and looking through boxes that have not been looked through in years. I also like to help people find childhood toys, books and memory type things. I help find not so collectable things as well like baby clothes or household items. I find everything from dishes to dolls to squished pennies!

I will be updating this page at least weekly with photos and brief descriptions of the awesome things I find.. If interested in anything let me know or look me up on eBay..
